The Cambridgeshire Historic Environment Record is the definitive source of information on the historic environment in the modern county of Cambridgeshire. This resource, which is fully accessible to the public, contains over 15000 records on archaeological sites and findspots, together with buildings and landscapes of historic significance. The CHER also maintains a paper archive of over 2000 unpublished fieldwork reports, together with local journals, publications and photographs, which can be consulted in person by prior appointment at offices in Cambridge.
